Westerns Volume Two (Crewe-built Locomotives), 2010

The second volume in this production set features each of the locomotives built at Crewe Works on the London Midland Region (D1030-73). Once again everything you could ever wish to know about an individual locomotives is included here complete with works visits and experiments. But there are other components thrown into the book to make it, like its predecessor, the ‘go to’ books on the fleet. These A4 books, boasting colour and black and white photographs, will stand the test of time and are also available to view in the British Library and the National Railway Museum. Indeed, many members of the mainstream media could do no worse than reach for a copy of them now and again when writing a feature about the fleet as the internet has a habit of piling myth on myth with poor research.
